On December 17, Panasonic filed a registration for a new camera model in China, identified by the code “P2305A.” Earlier, on November 22, Panasonic had also registered the “P2307A” camera. This indicates that Panasonic is preparing to launch TWO cameras within the next 3-4 months.
To clarify, these codes do NOT correspond to the new G97 or TZ compact cameras, as those only feature 2.4MHz support. The registered models, however, are compatible with 5.1MHz as well.
My guess is that we’ll see both the SR1II and S1HII released. That would be exciting, wouldn’t it?
